Pre-Placement Medical Exams
Minnesota Occupational Health can help you identify high-risk job categories and customize the physical exam to the job category or to meet various Federal or OSHA requirements.
The pre-placement exam includes history and a physical, including vitals, and an assessment of current medical injuries and illnesses to identify conditions that may impact their ability to perform essential tasks of the job.
An expanded physical can include work simulation exams for physically demanding positions that utilize materials and or equipment that the employee will use on the job. The work simulation exam is provided under the guidance of an occupational therapist, they will perform essential lifting, pushing, carrying of material that they will be required to do as an essential part of their work assignments. In addition, they receive ergonomic instruction on proper body mechanics to perform their jobs.
